Foxton canal museum offers loan boxes to schools and education providers that cover a wide range of STEM subjects. We have compilation sets to investigate topics in depth or smaller sets for group work.
Loans Boxes

STEM subjects require students use a range of stimuli as a starting point for creating a solution to a problem.
Linking to our historical mechanical backgound, we’ve curated a series of loans boxes, suitable for EYFS and Key Stage 1 to 3 children. They contain models, sets and worksheets that can be handled and used as part of classroom activities.
You can borrow a box for up to four weeks at a time, and they’re free to our partner schools.
Box contents vary by theme, and typically involve role-play elements to encourage children to experiment with STEM. All materials are age-appropriate.
Below, you’ll find links to details of each box, along with further information on curriculum links.
